Come to Newark this coming weekend (October 11-14th) and you'll hear good poetry ~ then stop by NICO Kitchen + Bar @ NJPAC and sample those good recipes made with fresh ingredients!

The team at NICO, the sensational "Italian Without Borders" restaurant at New Jersey Performing Arts Center, honors the largest North American poetry festival with a special three-course, $42 prix-fixe "Eating Poetry" menu (Dinner, 5-10 pm Thursday + Friday, Saturday 5 - 9pm,  October 11-13) 
 
The menu includes:
  • WALT WHITMAN's, "Leaves of Grass"~Romaine Wedge, Prosciutto di Parma, Ricotta Salata, Caesar Dressing   
  • BILLY COLLINS', "The Fish"~Pan Roasted Cod, Artichoke Barigoule, Crispy Brussels Sprouts
  • WILLIAM CARLOS WILLIAMS', "The Red Wheelbarrow"~Half-Roasted Free-Range Chicken, Lavender Honey, Grilled Fennel
  • ROBERT FROST's, "Blueberries"~Blueberry Tres Leches Cheesecake, Blueberry Bourbon Sauce
  • DAVID LEE GARRISON's, "Recipe for an Apple Pie"~Apple Crumb Pie, Vanilla Gelato
When poetry is on the menu,  there's definitely food for thought!
