Dear Family & Friends,
I continue to host this excellent series, which continues into its seventh year, so please come by for this upcoming reading. Mark your calendars now!
NOTE that this series is held on FIRST Wednesdays each month.
The WCW Poetry Cooperative of Southern Bergen County is pleased to invite the spoken word artist Broken English (Benedicto Figueroa) as the feature on Wednesday, March 7, 2012 at 7:00 p. m. As usual this monthly program will also feature the words of William Carlos Williams. We conclude with open readings from the floor. No advanced registration is required and all poets and poetry lovers are invited. We hold the WCW Poetry Cooperative readings in the upstairs Terrace of Williams Center for the Arts (www.williamscenter.org) located at 1 Williams Plaza in Rutherford, N. J.
INFORMATION ABOUT THE RED WHEELBARROW POETS
Also, please remember that noted poet Jim Klein leads our peer-to-peer poetry workshops (Red Wheelbarrow Poets). Please note a change in schedule and venue for these workshops in this message from John Barrale:
The Gainsville Cafe is no longer our workshop's meeting place but it will remain our venue for the monthly Friday night readings that Mark Fogarty (a member of our group) hosts.
Thanks to the efforts of Zorida (another member) our workshop has a new Wednesday meeting room at the Municipal Building/Borough Hall in Rutherford , NJ .
We will meet there on the 3rd and 4th Wednesdays of every month from 7 PM to 9 PM. The meeting room is the "Blue" room located on the second floor.
The address of the Municipal Building is 176 Park Ave., Rutherford , NJ . It is handicap accessible.
If you have any questions, please contact me [John Barrale] by e-mail [firstname.lastname@example.org]. Kindly, DO NOT CONTACT THE BOROUGH HALL.
Please bring 10 to 12 copies of the poem(s) you wish to be workshopped.
What we do - we pass the poems out - everyone reads their poem(s), and then we discuss them. Jim Klein is our teacher/workshop moderator.
No dues or rules. Bring your thickest skin because it gets heavy at times. But its fun and you will learn a great deal about what you write, and how to improve it.

Mark Fogarty hosts a monthly reading and music series for the Rutherford Red Wheelbarrow Poets on fourth Fridays of the month at 7 p. m. at GainVille Learning Center and Café (http://www.gaincontact.com).

Remember too that the Rutherford Red Wheelbarrow Poets recently published volume 4 of The Rutherford Red Wheelbarrow, including six poems of mine, those of many others associated with the WCW Poetry Cooperative and literary life in Rutherford, some excellent essays (one by me), and reflections on Dr. Williams. Copies of the anthology are on sale now, so please contact the editors at email@example.com, if you would like more information or like to purchase a copy or two. They make excellent birthday or holiday gifts for poetry lovers and anyone who loves literature and history.
Please come out and support these creative endeavors.
Love & Peace,
