 LAURA FREEDGOOD’S second book of poems, Slant of the Heart (Pudding House Press) was released in the fall of 2010. Her first collection, Weather Report, was published by Pudding House Press in 2007.  Her poems appear in DescantHawai’i Pacific ReviewEuphony, Wisconsin Review, Journal of New Jersey Poets, Heliotrope, The Chrysalis Reader, Meadowlands Review, and other print and online journals.  Nominated for The Pushcart Prize, she was also awarded a three-year poetry grant from the City University of New York, where she worked as an Assistant Professor from 2003 to 2010. She has recently completed a new manuscript of poems entitled What I Would Paint if I Could. Currently retired and living in Montclair, New Jersey, she is able to devote more time to her two passions: poetry and dance.
