Rick Mullin is a business journalist and painter whose poetry has appeared in both print and online journals including Unsplendid, The Flea, The Raintown Review, Measure, 14 x 14 and Chimaera. His chapbook Aquinas Flinched is available from Modern Metrics, an imprint of Exot Books, New York. His book-length poem "Huncke" is a 12-canto epic written in ottava rima, recreating a 2009 memorial reading for Beat progenitor Herbert Huncke. The poem was recently published by Seven Towers, Dublin.

Robert Olen Butler, winner of the 1993 Pulitzer Prize, writes: "Epic and elegiac, gritty and beautiful, smart and ultimately quite moving, Rick Mullin's Huncke is a dazzling work by a splendid poet who is helping to reinvigorate venerable poetic traditions."
