TWO BARDS EXCHANGING BARBS: A NATIONAL POETRY MONTH PROGRAM

Join us at the Hunterdon County Library on Tuesday, April 27 at 7:00 pm as we celebrate "National Poetry Month" with a mock poetry slam between local poets Guy De Sapio, attorney for the Hunterdon County Freeholders, and Hunterdon County Democrat reporter Warren Cooper, as they trade poems and barbs, all in good fun.

Philadelphia poet Elijah B. Pringle III will be the moderator and a panel of listeners will "rate" the poets.Guy DeSapio has been writing poetry for many years and has a poetry blog; his poetry has appeared in several journals, and has a book of poetry forthcoming in 2010. Warren Cooper has been writing what he considers "half-wit" poems for a couple of decades and has just started a poetry blog. Philadelphia poet Elijah Pringle caps off the night with a reading of his work.

Free, but reservations are required.
