Your Letters Are Needed Immediately

I need letters sent to the Passaic County Board of Freeholders in reference to the fact that they will not allow the college to issue a bond to pay for necessary capital expenses; they want the college to cut the money, nearly 1 million dollars, from the operating budget.

I’m afraid that means that all the cultural affairs programs, including the Poetry Center, the Passaic County Cultural and Heritage Council, the Art Galleries, and the Theater and Poetry Project will be cut starting July 1, 2010.

I really need people to write letters on our behalf to the freeholders with cc to President Steve Rose. I wonder if you would be willing to write a letter in support of the Poetry Center at Passaic County Community College and all our other programs and say how important they are.

It is urgent that these letters be sent immediately. /MMG
