I love, love, love poetry...why do I write it?

First, because I'm oozing with creativity and I'm a lover of words! Second, it's very therapeutic. It has truly helped me deal with/process difficult childhood memories. Finally, to connect with other writers/poets. It's an amazing feeling to hear readers say, "I can totally relate to what you just wrote," or "I SAW a picture through your words."
