Red Bank, NJ - River Read Reading Series (Formerly the Frank Talk Reading Series) Located on the second floor of the Dublin House, 30 Monmouth Street, Red Bank.  September 20, 2009 at 2PM featuring Chris McIntyre and Peter Murphy, hosted by John Petrolino and Mark Brunetti. Book signing, meet and greet and open mic to follow featured readers.  No cover, but make allowances to support the features by buying their books and getting a few drinks at The Dublin House.

The River Read Reading Series is dedicated to bringing high quality poetry and literature to Red Bank residents and visitors.  We strive to not only bring entertaining, enriching, insightful and good artists...we want to build a community and support system where we can learn from and become enlightened from one another.

 

Author Bios:

 

Chris McIntyre is the moderator of the online blog-zine Walking English and the Co-editor of The Idiom Magazine Anthology: Volumes 1 & 2.  He has participated as a featured reader at the Barron Art's Center, South Brunswick Library and multiple Underground Literary Alliance Readings in Philadelphia.  He has a collection of poetry forthcoming from Piscataway House Publications and can be visited on the web at http://walkingenglish.blogspot.com.

 

Peter E. Murphy was born in Wales and grew up in New York City where he operated heavy equipment, managed a night club and drove a cab. Recipient of a 2009 Poetry Fellowship from the NJ State Council on the Arts, he is the author two books of poems, Stubborn Child and Thorough & Efficient.  He directs the annual Winter Poetry & Prose Getaway in Cape May, NJ.  Peter can be visited on the web at http://www.murphywriting.com/.
