Montclair Write Group
Marks 10th Anniversary
with Art Exhibit and Reading
The Montclair Write Group celebrates its 10th anniversary with a reception and reading on Monday, Aug. 10, at 6:30 p.m. at the Montclair Public Library, 50 S. Fullerton Street. The public is invited.
Portraits of members and samples of their writing will be on display throughout August in connection with the anniversary. The original portraits are by Anne Miyamoto and Nancy-Jo Taiani, both of Montclair.
The Write Group, a free support group for writers of all genres, meets at the Montclair Public Library Tuesday and Thursday mornings at 10 a.m for an open discussion of writing and publishing topics. There are workshops on various topics on Thursdays at 7 p.m. and an Open Mic every month.
There are some 50 active participants in the Write Group and the email list of 300-plus people includes members with published books including
Ethel Lee-Miller of Lincoln Park, NJ, “Thinking About Miller Place: A Memoir of Summer Comfort;
Carl Selinger of Bloomfield, “Things You Never Learned in Engineering School”;
Glory Read of Montclair, “Everything Will be Alright: An Alzheimer’s Memoir”; and
